Meet Edward

Hello, and welcome to The Well Clinic. I'm Ed Middleton, Jr., and I'm deeply committed to supporting your journey toward hope, wellness, and a more fulfilling life. As you navigate the path of healing and personal growth, know that I'm here to provide consistent support and guidance

I hold a Master of Arts in Community Counseling and a Master of Divinity in Practical Theology, with an emphasis in Transformational Leadership Coaching, from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA, awarded in 2004. Since 2007, I've been a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with the Louisiana Board of Licensed Professional Counselors Board of Examiners.

Over the years, I've gained valuable experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults across diverse settings, including private practice, churches, schools, and community health organizations.

My counseling practice is multifaceted, with a particular focus on adolescent and young adult clients dealing with anxiety, depression, transitional stressors, communication issues, relational challenges, addiction, behavioral concerns, and ADHD.

I view counseling as a collaborative process. Together, we'll build a trusting relationship, delve into present challenges, set goals for a brighter future, and systematically work towards achieving those goals. My approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to examine thought and behavior patterns and Reality Theory to assess whether needs are being met through behaviors while developing coping strategies and emotional regulation.

Outside of the office, you'll often find me spending quality time with family and friends, pursuing my passion for rock climbing, reading books, engaging in water sports, volunteering with the youth program at my church, immersing myself in the Spanish language, or participating in mission work in Central and South America.
