Kathleen Levingston

Ph.D. Licensed Professional Counselor

Kathleen Levingston received her B.A. in Psychology and M.Ed. in Counseling from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She obtained her doctorate in Counselor Education from the University of New Orleans and is currently the Faculty Support and Development Coordinator for the School of Counseling at Walden University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor, Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor and a Board Certified TeleMental Health Provider. Kathleen has worked in the mental health field since 2001 specializing in counseling children, adolescents, and their families. She holds a holistic view to wellness and wants to support individuals to thrive in relationship with others. Her research areas include effective leadership, military families, and creative, expressive techniques in counseling.

Kathleen and her husband are both originally from Louisiana, and after her husband served 22 years in the Navy, her family was able to move back home to their Southern roots. Kathleen has two children and enjoys swimming, riding bikes, and reading with them. She also really enjoys all things LSU.
