Andy Yarborough, PsyD

Licensed Clinical Psychologist (#1161)

Andy and his wife, Melody, founded The Well Clinic in 2015 after seeing the growing need for emotional health care in their community. Their hearts for people inspired them to step out and start a practice that integrated all aspects of a person’s life: the body, soul, relationships, and spirit. Together, the staff of amazing clinicians and consultants guide people into hope, wellness, and life!

Dr. Yarborough attended Regent University in Virginia, where he graduated with a doctorate in psychology. He moved to Baton Rouge with his family in 2008 to finish his pre-doctoral internship in affiliation with LSU. He has been a licensed psychologist since 2011. Dr. Yarborough has worked for Louisiana's Office of Citizens with Developmental Disabilities as a staff psychologist and as the Associate Clinical Director of [formerly] North Lake Supports and Services Center in Hammond, LA. He has been an executive pastor on staff at a local church and has also worked extensively with pastors and lay leaders to engage the church in spiritual formation and leadership development.

Dr. Yarborough has a range of experience including children, adults, married couples, families, and geriatric adults in outpatient, inpatient, intermediate care, and church settings. Dr. Yarborough approaches diagnosis and treatment by paying attention to how the physical, psychological, social/cultural, and spiritual aspects of a person interact and contribute to the presenting issues as well as how these aspects promote healing and growth.

Andy and Melody, along with their three children, have lived in Baton Rouge since 2008 and enjoy traveling, all things coffee-related, and exploring the Baton Rouge food scene!
